Slideshow shortcuts
Run the presentation from the beginning. F5

Access and use task panes
Move from one task pane (task pane: A window in an Office program that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size allow you to use these commands while continuing to work on your files) to another task pane in a program window (counterclockwise). (You may need to press F6 more than once.) F6
When a task pane is active, selects the next or previous option, respectively, in the task pane. Tab, Shift+Tab
Displays the entire set of commands on the task pane menu. Ctrl+Down Arrow
Moves between options on a selected submenu; moves between certain options in a group of options in a dialog box. Down Arrow or Up Arrow
Opens the selected menu, or performs the action assigned to the selected button. Spacebar or Enter

When a menu or submenu is visible, select the first or last command on a menu or submenu, respectively. Home, End

Change keyboard focus without using the mouse
Select the active tab of the ribbon and activate (Access key: A keyboard combination that moves the focus to a menu, command, or control without using the mouse, such as Alt+F.). Alt or F10. Press either key again to move back to the document and cancel the access key.
Move left or right to another tab of the ribbon, respectively. Press F10 to select the active tab, then press the Left or Right Arrow key
Hide or show the ribbon. Ctrl+F1

Move the focus to select the following areas in the window:

  • The active tab of the Ribbon
  • Any open (Task Pane: A window in an Office program that provides commonly used commands. It is conveniently located and small so that you can use these commands while continuing to work on your files.)
